Announcing the 2nd Annual Back to School Community Health and Wellness Fair

Saturday, July 26, 2014

11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Macon Educational Resource Learning Center

Kevin Moore, DPM Podiatry Dr. Kevin Moore, one of Piedmont's foot and ankle experts, will be donating his time at the health fair to provide free health screenings for families.

This health fair is presented by the Macon Educational Resource and Learning Center (M.E.R.L.C.), a Macon-based 501©(3) organization that was created in 2010. The mission of M.E.R.L.C. is to change the lives of the youth and young adults by instilling a sense of personal responsibility to self and community, embracing growth opportunities through education and building a safe and trusting community. Too many children are at risk of dropping out of school and stifling their futures. Investing in programs such as this is an investment in our future. M.E.R.L.C. is confident that projects like this one will promote awareness about community opportunities, health issues, social responsibility, educational advancement, socioeconomic growth and personal encouragement to strive for success.

One of Piedmont’s foot and ankle experts, Dr. Kevin Moore, will be donating his time at this health fair to provide free health screenings for families. Be sure to stop by and say “hi” if you are going! At the health fair, individuals will be encouraged to connect with health care professionals and agencies and will receive county-mandated school supplies.
